Correction to the 2002 Crabbet Influence Sport Horse issue.

Today's date is Sept. 7, 2002. Although the magazine was mailed August 12, it took nearly 3 weeks to reach our readership due to posting bulk rate. Thank you for writing with your impressions and appreciation for receiving the publication. You mean a lot to us!

Correction to page 27, RUSHCREEK article, as the last paragraph of the article got spliced incorrectly with the paragraph above it. The type in bold is what was edited out by mistake. We apologize for this omission that was not caught on our proof. Here is the correct version. Please print and place in your copy of the magazine.

The Rushcreek horses all carry a high percentage of Crabbet blood, a great deal of it through *Raffles 952(Skowronek x *Rifala).

And for those who have forgotten that Arabs are supposed to be a versatile breed, it is interesting to note that Shalimar Pima, who has 12 foals on the AERC list, is by Winraff 67280 (Orbit x Shalimar Wingida), and one of the current Rushcreek stallions, Rushcreek Kip 539685 (Shalimar Caribou x Rushcreek Aztec), a homebred stallion, is a Winraff grandson. Winraff was bred by Bill Munson and sold to Gina Manion who made him into one of the top dressage contenders in the country.

The other stallion currently standing at Rushcreek is Comar Raphael 447355 (Comar Azraff x So-Far Karey) chosen by the late Andy Bender. Raphael is introducing some different Crabbet lines through Ferzon 7723, Azraff 5596, *Kareyma 811, Sotep 8385, Rapture 3783, Ragala 1091, and *Mirage 790.

My sincere thanks to the following for allowing me to interview them and/or answering questions for me: Tom and Carolyn Wells;
Gerald Davis; Adam Edmond; Julie Suhr; Kris Ruben; Mariln Olive; and Candi Suddjian.
