The fabulous grey Arabian stallion Baleyn was well-loved by his owner and partner in parades and more, Don Branstetter. They were commonly seen on trails in the California countryside enjoying a relaxed ride in the sunny weather.

Baleyn sired 2 colts, both gelded. His son, Balnad, sired 1 purebred and one half-Arabian.

For many years, W.K. Kellogg was the go to place for movie studios to get Arabians. Baleyn, a descendant of both Jadaan and Letan, was one of the equine stars of The Big Fisherman starring Susan Kohner and John Saxon. Baleyn also represented the Arabian in numerous Pasadena Rose Parades and Hollywood’s Santa Claus Parades. Photos taken by Don Christie for article in February 1960 Western Horseman magazine. The Kellogg Arabians have had a long history with the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. In late 1959, the Pasadena Independent-Star newspaper ran a big article on BALEYN (Alla Amarward x Babeyn), who was participating in the 1960 Rose Parade. BALEYN was a grandson of the Kellogg Arabian stallion RALET, by *RASEYN."
